Devimon (デビモン) is the first major antagonist of Digimon Adventure. He is a Champion level Digimon.
He is responsible for enslaving File Island with his Black Gears, hiding the Tags and Crests, and attacking the children directly and indirectly multiple times.
Appearance[]
Devimon is very powerful one, rivaled only by Angemon. He is a jet-black demon with horns and red eyes and two wings with holes in them.
When he fights the DigiDestined in giant form, his wings spread out like VenomMyotismon's.
Personality[]
Devimon is cruel and cunning, focused only on the spread of darkness. He waits for the perfect moment to strike, otherwise using proxies or manipulation to achieve his own ends. He has no qualms about using illusions to weaken his foes and striking during the night. Devimon also shows remarkable self-knowledge in that he acknowledges that he himself is a small fry in the grand scheme of things.

- He is shown in the intro of the first half of Season 1, but shortly after his death, he is replaced by Myotismon, who has been shown in the new intro of the second half of the season, during which Tai's sister Kari is involved.
