Summary[]
After travelling through many fields, the Chosen Ones finally come upon a forest. However, they find that the forest itself makes up a Digimon’s body. Hikari and the Chosen Ones help this Digimon fight an old nemesis.
Plot[]
The DigiDestined continue their journey toward FAGA, stopping in what appears to be a peaceful forest—only to discover they're standing on the back of Petaldramon, a colossal Digimon. Kari notices patches of deforestation on its body and, while exploring with Gatomon, encounters swarms of parasitic black bugs. Palmon and Gatomon recognize Petaldramon as a legendary guardian Digimon.
They meet Muchomon and Puwamon, who reveal the bugs destroyed their home, prompting Petaldramon's vengeful pursuit. When the insects attack again, the DigiDestined defend Petaldramon, but their leader Entmon severs the group—isolating Kari and Gatomon on Petaldramon’s back. Despite a valiant fight, Entmon impales Petaldramon. Kari's anguish triggers Gatomon’s evolution into Angewomon, empowering Petaldramon to sacrifice itself in a final attack, entombing both it and Entmon in new plant growth—a reborn forest for the displaced Digimon.
