Matt Ishida (石田 ヤマト, Ishida Yamato) is the protagonist of the reboot series, Digimon Adventure:. He is partnered to Gabumon.
Appearance[]
Matt is a young boy with blue eyes and spiky blond hair. He wears a turtlenecked purple shirt with short sleeves, grey pants, a green bandana tied on the left wrist, white socks, and black sneakers with white soles and laces.
Personality[]
Matt is somber and terse, as well as slightly ruthless, willing to keep moving ahead with the DigiDestined's mission and leaving Digimon to fend for themselves.

- In “Out on the Town” from the original version, where He along with his little brother T.K. Takaishi & Gabumon were Dressed up by Pumpkinmon and Gotsumon, Matt had a purple scarf on him resembling the color of the Shirt he wears on the reboot.
- Unlike his original counterpart, he does not have a large rivalry with Tai, nor does he depart from the team for a period of time.
