Meiko Mochizuki (望月 芽心, Mochizuki Meiko) is new character of Digimon Adventure tri. and mysterious DigiDestined from Tottori who transferred to Tai's high school. She is partnered to Meicoomon.
Appearance[]
Meiko is a Japanese girl of average height, petite frame, and rather studious appearance. Meiko wears her black hair long, and has straight-cut bangs that cover her eyebrows. She is almost never seen without her red, square-framed glasses.
Personality[]
Meiko is known for her shy, withdrawn personality, often coming across as nervous and bashful in even the most basic of human interactions. Due to her childhood being relatively secluded and her only real friend being Meicoomon, she is rather inexperienced at being accepted by a large group of people, and is scared of being welcomed so easily. Meiko is often self-critical, easily overwhelmed by more extroverted individuals like Mimi, and tends to take responsibility for things that are far beyond her control.

Etymology[]
- The name Meiko means "bud, sprout" (芽) (mei) and "heart, mind, soul" (心) (ko).
- Meiko's surname Mochizuki means "full moon" (望月).
