Tai Yagami (八神 太一, Taichi Yagami) is the protagonist of the reboot series, Digimon Adventure:. He is partnered to Agumon.
Appearance[]
Taichi is a young boy with brown eyes and spiky brown hair. He wears a blue hairband, which leaves a tuft of hair out, grey-framed goggles with a black strap, and a blue shirt with short sleeves, a yellow line on the collar and chest, an orange star on each sleeve, and a pocket on the stomach. He also wears white gloves, orange knee-length shorts with a pocket on each side, white socks with a single horizontal orange stripe, and blue sneakers. The sneakers have white soles and laces, red stars on the sides, and yellow marks on the soles.

Etymology[]
- The name Taichi means "thick, big, great" (太) (ta) and "one" (一) (ichi).
- Taichi's surname Yagami means "eight" (八) (ya) and "god, deity" (神) (kami/gami).
